**Location:** The Greater Toronto Area
**Job Type:** Part-Time / Contract / Event-Based
About the Role
We’re seeking a proven, self-sufficient Photo Booth Operator who can step in with confidence and deliver a seamless event experience. This is not an entry-level role—you’ll be expected to quickly master our workflow and operate independently after initial training.
We currently operate an iPad-based booth and are launching a DSLR booth with flash, so comfort working across both simple and more advanced setups is essential.
What Success Looks Like
You show up prepared, set up efficiently, handle guests with ease, and keep the booth running without interruption—even when technical issues arise. You don’t wait for instructions—you solve problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently set up, operate, and tear down both iPad and DSLR photo booth systems
- Deliver a polished, high-energy guest experience at events
- Configure and manage DSLR + flash setups for consistent, high-quality images
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site (software, camera, lighting, printer, connectivity)
- Maintain consistent print quality and booth performance throughout events
- Confidently manage and replace printer media kits as needed
- Ensure all equipment is organized, functional, and event-ready
- Represent the company professionally at all times
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven track record as a photo booth operator, event technician, or similar role
- References required (must speak to reliability and technical competence)
- Strong troubleshooting ability—especially under time pressure
- Experience working with DSLR cameras and flash lighting (or equivalent event photography setups)
- Comfortable working independently after initial onboarding
- Hands-on experience with event tech, including cameras, lighting, and printers
Technical Requirements
- Willingness to learn and operate Curator Software
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn DNP DS40 printers
- Must be comfortable:
- Diagnosing and fixing connection issues (USB, network, software glitches)
- Restarting/reconfiguring systems mid-event if needed
- Adjusting DSLR and flash settings for changing lighting conditions
- Changing printer media kits quickly and correctly under pressure
What We’re Looking For
- Calm under pressure and solutions-oriented
- Highly dependable and punctual
- Strong communicator with a professional presence
- Someone who takes ownership—no hand-holding required after training
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (~50 lbs)
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
What We Offer
- Competitive event-based pay (commensurate with experience)
- Flexible scheduling
- Opportunity to work with both modern iPad booths and advanced DSLR + flash setups
- A streamlined system—once trained, you’re trusted to run your events
How to Apply
Submit your resume along with:
- 2–3 professional references
- A brief summary of your relevant experience
- Confirmation that you’re comfortable with the technical requirements listed above
If you’re the kind of operator who shows up ready, solves problems fast, and doesn’t need supervision—we want to hear from you.
