He was so easy to work with from our first email conversation and thoroughly worked to make our celebration exactly how we wanted it from a music and dancing perspective. His Spotify-integrated music portal is very organized with “must play”, “play if possible”, “dinner/cocktail”, and “do not play” sections which allowed us to curate the music we wanted from about two months to one week before the wedding. He owns his own audio and lighting equipment and was very organized in terms of setting up and testing well before our guests started arriving. He was also super adaptable. The day before we had a last-minute request about how we wanted the transition out of our first dance song to mix into another specific song, and he handled that perfectly. Overall, as an MC, he was prompt to direct guests as we requested but did so in a personable and humorous way. His DJing during our three hours of dancing was the best part of hiring Scott and frankly can’t be oversold. His transitions between different songs were fun and super varied, he had plenty of modern dance remixes to classics (e.g. “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” or “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”), and he read the crowd well in terms of which songs were well received vs. which ones to transition out of more quickly. The dancing part of our wedding was about three hours long and the dance floor was always busy. Our wedding was smaller than expected (45 guests) but Scott gave us an amazing party, and the dance floor was never empty from the end of dinner all the way to last call- not easy considering the size of our wedding.
