"I started MC'ing and DJ'ing raves, nightclubs, competitions and festivals throughout Ireland in the 1990's and one night, at a gig in Belfast, I connected with Yusuf (Mr Fudge) a DJ from Saskatoon who was visiting Northern Ireland. Together we hatched a plan that led to my arrival in the prairies in 1999. Over the next 3 years I established my team and DJ'd at many festivals and club's throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan and B.C. In 2002, after some time in Vancouver, I moved to Toronto and switched gear to begin my career in radio. I graduated from Humber College's Radio Broadcasting Certificate Program in 2004 and for 15 years I worked at the largest radio stations in Toronto. I resigned as the Digital Manager at CHUM 104.5 and 99.9 Virgin Radio just before the Pandemic.
I have an extensive media background and have spent years working with large brands to develop their online presence. Taking this knowledge and combining it with my performance background and my business background I created Scottify. I offer a different approach to DJ'ing Weddings, Youth Events and Corporate Events where, if it's your event, you get to be actively involved in creating your Mixlist of songs for the party. And at the event we are raising the bar when it comes to the actual DJ performance. There's a lot of pretenders out there.
Other stuff about me - I am a Father of 2 young girls, Husband, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black belt, Nerd and Entrepreneur.
